A good fade is all in the blend: no lines, no patches, and a shape that still looks right two weeks later. Joni has cut fades for over 15 years and adjusts every one to your hair type, head shape and how often you plan to come back.
A fade is $60 for 60 minutes. Book online or call (720) 878-7314.
What Makes a Great Fade Haircut?
A fade haircut is all about the gradual transition from longer hair on top to shorter hair (or skin) on the sides and back. The key word is gradual. A great fade has seamless blending with no harsh lines or uneven spots.
We take our time with every fade because precision matters. Whether you want a subtle taper or a bold skin fade, we’ll make sure the transition is clean and the shape complements your head.
Our GQ Haircut includes:
Custom fade cut tailored to your style
Shampoo and scalp massage
Hot towel neck shave for a polished finish
Styling tips for maintaining your look
Price: $60 | Time: 60 minutes
Want a beard trim too? Book the GQ Haircut + Beard Trim for $80 (90 minutes).
Types of Fade Haircuts We Offer
Here are the fades Joni cuts most. At the consultation she’ll tell you which one suits your hair and head shape.
Low Fade
Starts just above the ears and stays low around the back. The most understated fade, and an easy fit for conservative workplaces.
Mid Fade
Starts halfway up the sides. More contrast than a low fade while still working every day, which makes it the most requested fade in the chair.
High Fade
Starts high on the sides, near the temples, for the most contrast between the top and the sides. A bold, sharp look.
Skin Fade (Bald Fade)
Takes the bottom all the way to the skin with a razor-close finish. It shows every flaw in the blend, so it takes the most care to cut.
Taper Fade
Keeps the fade short and low, mostly at the sideburns and the neckline. Clean and natural, and it grows out gently. See taper haircuts.
Drop Fade
Drops down behind the ear and follows the curve of the head toward the nape. Good with more length on top and for heads with a flat spot at the back.
Burst Fade
A curved fade that arcs around the ear and leaves length at the back of the neck. Often paired with a mohawk, a curly top or a mullet-style cut.
How to Choose a Fade for Your Head Shape
The right fade height depends on the shape of your head and face, and on how much skin you’re comfortable showing.
- Round face: a mid or high fade with height on top makes the face look longer.
- Square jaw: almost any fade works. A low or mid fade keeps it balanced.
- Long or oblong face: a low fade keeps some width at the sides. Skip a tall top.
- Oval face: any height works, so pick on style and upkeep.
- Flat spot or bump at the back of the head: a drop fade follows the curve and hides it better than a straight line.
- Ears that stick out: a low or taper fade leaves a little cover over the ears.
- Thinning crown or receding temples: a high or skin fade with a short, textured top makes thin hair look fuller.
Joni looks at your head shape and growth patterns before the clippers come out, suggests a height, and you make the call.

How Often Should You Get a Fade?
Fades grow out faster than standard haircuts because the sides are cut so short. Here’s our general recommendation:
| Fade Type | Recommended Frequency |
|---|---|
| High Fades & Skin Fades | Every 1-2 weeks |
| Mid Fades | Every 2-3 weeks |
| Low Fades & Tapers | Every 3-4 weeks |
Fades grow out fastest at the bottom, so the shorter the fade, the sooner it needs a touch-up. Book your next visit before you leave to stay on schedule. Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between a fade and a taper?
A taper gradually shortens hair but keeps some length throughout. A fade takes the hair down to the skin (or very short) at the bottom. Fades have more contrast and are shorter on the sides.
Can I get a fade if I have curly hair?
Absolutely. Fades look great with curly hair. They add shape and structure while letting your curls stand out on top. We adjust our technique based on your curl pattern.
How do I maintain my fade between cuts?
Keep the top moisturized and styled. If you want to extend time between cuts, you can ask us to leave the sides slightly longer. Fades do look best fresh, so most clients rebook every 2 to 3 weeks.
Do you offer skin fades?
Yes. Skin fades are one of our specialties. They require precision and blending skill, and we take our time to get them right.
Can I add a beard trim to my fade haircut?
Yes! The GQ Haircut + Beard Trim combo is $80 and includes everything: haircut, fade, beard shaping with straight razor, shampoo, and hot towel service.
How much does a fade cost?
$60 for a 60-minute slot. Add a beard trim with the GQ Haircut + Beard Trim for $80.
How long does a fade last?
A skin or high fade looks crisp for about 1 to 2 weeks, a mid fade 2 to 3 weeks, and a low or taper fade 3 to 4 weeks.
Ready to Upgrade Your Look?
A great fade haircut makes a difference. Whether you’re cleaning up for the week or switching up your style entirely, we’ll make sure you leave looking sharp.
