Men’s waxing at Joni’s Gentleman’s Cuts is face only: around the ears, between and under the brows, and the front of the nostrils. Wax keeps it gone for weeks, and brows are cleaned up rather than reshaped unless you ask. Book it alone or with your haircut.
It covers the face only, as one of three services:

Joni doesn’t wax chest, back, arms or any other part of the body.
A nose trimmer cuts hair off at the skin, so the tips are back in a few days and you’re at it again by the weekend, usually missing a few. Wax pulls each hair out from the root. It tends to take three to six weeks to come back, which is close to the stretch between haircuts.
Book the wax with your cut, rebook both before you leave, and the ear and nose hair stops being something you notice in photos.
Before any wax goes near your face, Joni asks what’s bothering you. Each area stings for a second, and then it’s done.
Ears
Joni takes the hair you can see on and around the ear, including the fine hair along the top edge that catches the light in pictures.
Nose
Only the hair at the front of the nostril comes out, the hair someone across the table can see. The hair farther in stays where it is, because it filters the air you breathe. One side, then the other, and it's over.
Brows
You decide how much comes off. Most men ask for the hair between the brows and a few strays underneath, which keeps the shape you already have. If you want the shape tidied up as well, say so, and if you only want the middle cleared, tell her that before she starts.

The easiest time to do this is when you’re already in Joni’s chair. Add the wax to your haircut and it’s done before you’re out of the cape.

Will My Eyebrows Look Waxed?
Not unless you ask for that. Joni takes off only what you tell her to, so your brows keep the shape they had when you sat down.
Does Waxing Your Nose Hurt?
For a second. The sting is short, usually less than tweezing a single hair, and any redness is typically gone within a few hours.
Is It Safe to Wax Nose Hair?
Yes, when only the front of the nostril is waxed. That is the hair people see, and the hair farther in stays put to keep doing its job.
How Long Does It Last?
Usually three to six weeks. The wax needs a few millimeters of hair to grip, so skip trimming your nose or ears in the days before your appointment.
Is There Anything I Should Tell Joni First?
Yes, if any of these apply: you use a retinol or prescription acne cream, you’ve taken Accutane in the past year, or the skin on your face is sunburned or broken. Wax can lift skin in those cases, so she needs to know before she starts. For about a day afterward, skip the sauna, very hot water on your face, scrubbing and strong sun.
Can I Add It to a Haircut?
Yes. The Mens Wax Pack takes 30 minutes on top of your cut; Eyebrow Wax or Nose Wax alone takes about 15.
