The GQ Haircut is the full service, not a quick clipper job. Here is how the 45 minutes go:
- Consultation. A few minutes on what you want, how you style your hair in the morning, and how long you like to go between cuts.
- Shampoo and scalp massage. Before or after the cut, your choice. A hot lather towel goes on during the scalp massage.
- The cut. Clippers, shears or both, depending on the style. The sides and back are blended by hand and checked from every angle.
- Hot lather neck shave. A hot towel softens the skin, then the neckline and the edges around the ears are cleaned up with a straight razor.
- Style. Finished with a product picked for your hair, plus a quick note on how to get the same look at home.
Complimentary beer, wine or coffee is offered while you’re in the chair.
